The bracket is an intermediate assembly used to secure one thing (such as a shelf) to another (such as a wall), using actual fasteners such as screws to attach the bracket to other components.In addition to creating a connection between two parts, the bracket also provides support.

Features of metal brackets:

1. Most brackets are functional; their purpose is to connect and support objects.
2. Supports can be manufactured in a variety of ways, such as casting or CNC machining.
3. One of the most common sheet metal processes is bending, in which a machine called a brake is used to bend sheet metal to a maximum Angle of 120°.

4. The bracket can be made of a variety of metals, depending on certain factors including: the load it must support, appearance requirements, surface treatment requirements, minimum and maximum thickness, desired bending Angle, and manufacturing budget.
   

Application of metal brackets:

1. L-brackets are one of the most common types of brackets. As the name suggests, it has an L-shaped profile when bent along a single axis, usually forming a 90° Angle.

2.  The U-stand is another type of stand. Unlike L-brackets, U-brackets bend along two axes to create a U-shaped profile.The U-bracket can be used to clamp objects between its two flanges, or to mount two parallel horizontal objects on top of one another.

3. The Z-bracket is another bracket type that contains two bends.Z-brackets can be used for mounting parallel surfaces offset against each other.

4. A corner brace is a brace supported with additional material to increase its strength and load carrying capacity. It's like an L-shaped stand, but with an extra triangular section of material between the vertical and horizontal sections. Corner braces may be welded to the bracket or included in a single piece: if the latter, the horizontal and vertical planes of the bracket bend from the edge of the triangle.
